I got this for free. I was expecting something like Stardust or Air because I thought they were a French synth band. It's nothing like that. Instead, they remind me of Sloan or the Velvet Crush - very teen angst powerpop. I ended up liking it a lot. - Apr 17, 2007
The grand-daddy of all sampling works, this remains unlike anything else every put to record. It's a tornado of pop music twirling through your head, spinning you in circles and leaving you miles from where you were picked up. I once played this for a guy who was a schizophrenic -- he asked me to turn it off because it was like he was off his meds and in a bad place. - Apr 10, 2007
Comedy albums can be hit or miss and this is mostly hits - the Grunge Song was brilliant when it first was released, but, it's aged slightly. I wish they would release the material they did for the CBC, but it's slowly going stale in some vault in Montreal. - Apr 17, 2007
A collection of obscure-ish early hip hop. Notable mostly for compiling tracks from Fab Five Fredy and Futura 2000, who usually get passed over. Unfortunately, those tracks are kind of weak, placed next to Afrika Bambaataa. - Apr 18, 2007
