Millions of titles in database

Already have a huge collection? Don’t worry, FeelingClose.com fetches data from third-party websites and online libraries, and therefore you have access to millions of titles that are already in the database. This means that all of the items in your collection, except for those rare and/or foreign ones, are probably already in our database, so you won’t have to manually submit an entry for them. And in case of those rare items that you own, it’s very easy to make a submission for them.

Efficient and easy to use comment and rating system

Here at FC, we encourage you to feel closer to your collection, so we made an efficient and easy to use comment and rating system. We utilized ajax scripting so that you won’t have to leave your collection page when rating and reviewing your items.

When you speak your mind on a particular album, movie, book, or game, most likely you want to know what your friends think of it, right? You'll be pleased to know that visitors to your collection page will find it easy to comment on your review.

You can also go to “Edit Mode” when you want to rate and review several items at once.

Separate entries for child items in a Box set

Because our database is flexible, it is possible for an item, specifically a box set, to have several child items or several works associated with it. (Child items are items with separate UPC/ISBN number, and works refer to albums, movies, books, or games that are included in the box set but have no separate UPC or ISBN numbers)

What does it mean? Well, that means that you can:

  • • Rate and comment on each child item individually, separate from the parent box set
  • • Each child item will be counted in your stats page, as opposed to the box set just being counted as one
  • • In your collection page, each child item will be displayed individually alongside its parent box set.

For example, you have the item Resident Evil - The High-Definition Trilogy. Instead of just rating the whole set, you can actually rate and comment on each of the three movies, Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3. Furthermore, the stats page will add three movies to your statistics as opposed to one, and will also add all the directors and all the actors for each movies, and so on.

Take a look at user greyhoundz’s box sets with child items:

Separate stats entries for each format

Not only will you have a general stats for the main categories (movies, music, books and video games) but you will also have separate statistics page for each format as well.

For example, your general stats page for movies will typically display the top 10 actors for all your movie collection combined (blu-ray, dvd, vhs, etc). However, if you just want the top 10 actors for your Blu-ray only, you will be able to do so, as a separate stats page for Blu-ray is available for you to click on.

Freedom to make corrections to an item’s information

As stated above, FeelingClose.com fetches data from its partners, and so some of these fetched data might not be accurate. The good news is that you are free to edit a lot of entries about a particular item, from its title to its sort name, to the movies or albums it contains, to its number of discs, its artwork, album tracks, and so on!

So if you’re feeling obsessive-compulsive about a particular entry, you can always hit the correction button and make changes to it, and subject to moderator approval, it will be done.
